Initial briefing for preparing an estimate

At Renderby it all starts with a chat! You should see 👀 the chat icon at the right bottom of your screen. That is where you connect with our creative directors who are spread across the world, so you are answered 24/7. Typically you get connected to our creative directors in less than 2 minutes.

Our creative directors won't be like 🤖"How may I help you" because we know how to help you . Start with a short description about your project. Getting your initial project means collecting the following details from you. There information help you even when you work with other studios/artists outside Renderby.

  • Drawings - Share your design in file formats such as .pdf, .dwg, .skp, .rvt, .fbx, .obj, .3ds and rough renders if your have any in .jpeg

  • Project scope - If it is exterior, interior or product.

  • Rendering scope - Still image, animation, 360° VR & AR.

  • Angles - How many renders should help the project and choice of angle between eye-level to aerial.

  • Out put size - You may need different sizes for different needs. Typically our artist provide 3K for interiors and 5K for exteriors. If you want a higher size it has to be informed during this stage.

  • Mood board - When interiors, a mood board is required with reference furniture, light fittings, modeling scope and material finishing of major portions.

  • Deadline - We can manage any tight deadline as we have a tribe full of artists. Still we recommend you to have good time so it helps to get you the best of the best artist available.

These details with will help the creative director to understand the complexity level.

Getting the right artist(s) for you

Once the project is fully scoped you will get the ideal budget and expertise level required to achieve what you are here for. After freezing your budget and the level of expertise required our creative director will suggest you the artist(s) who matches all the skills required ✔️and their availability.

Alternatively if you have a choice of artist from our platform, you can ask for them. We suggest you block their dates early as our artists are engaged in continues work.

Depending on the urgency we assign one or more artist to meet the deadline. All the artists who are engaged will be pre approved by you.

Preparing the rendering brief for the artist

The rendering brief is slightly different from the initial brief. You will be asked for each and every detail possible to transform your mind on the paper. This will be action plan for the artist to work in peace. We believe a detailed brief is required for any project. That is why we created Renderby.

In other platforms with half baked brief the project shuttles back and forth between clients and the freelance artists. So to avoid it our creative directors make sure we have the right brief before artist gets involved. It's a rule in Renderby, the brief should be self explanatory and not let the artist ask for more explanation or question us for any missing detail. We win it every time🎯.

Reviewing and comments

You and the artists start collaborating on a private workspace while our creative director oversee the progress. Each room/space is created as a separate task and respective artist(s) is assigned to it. The artist starts sharing the rough cuts as they shape up. The rough renders are internally reviewed by you. Our creative director will also leave their comments if any. Usually we are be good to go for the final render in 2 rounds of comments from the first cut. This process repeats for all the individual rendering task involved in the projects.

Final rendering and after support

The final renders are done upon your approval. Any changes after the final render involves re-rendering and repeating the post-production work. You will be charged for it which is usually nominal.

You can get the renders anytime in future from the same workspace we added to you. The source files are stored in our cloud for 3 long years. For any corrections or alterations you can ask us any day within these period of time.
